Hàng often expresses something periodic.
Definition
Hàng / Hằng, as a quantifier, is placed before a noun of time (day, week, month) to express the repetition of time (day, week, month) of a certain action or state.
Related Expressions
- To indicate the repetition of a certain action or state according to time, we can use mọi, mỗi. However, these words imply different meanings. Cf:
[1] Hàng / hằng ngày nó đi ngủ lúc 12 giờ đêm.
(He goes to bed at 12 o'clock every night.)
(Habit.)
[2] Mỗi ngày nó đi ngủ lúc 12 giờ đêm.
